Welcome to my blog!
I’ve got a tendency toward being a tad bit nostalgic and overly reflective. So what’s a girl to do? Well start a blog of course. It’s the perfect solution to this lister’s problem- one place to keep all my Bucket Lists and keep track of the excitement they bring!
Right. I should probably expand on that, yes? Well you know the phrase “kick the bucket”? I made a list of everything I wanted to do before one summer kicked the bucket, aka my Summer Bucket List. Now this idea has spiraled in the best of ways, and I create bucket lists with lots of shorter deadlines– insuring that my days are dull. And I make them based off of a few simple rules:
- I never add something to the list, just because I know I can check it off. It can be something small or something big, but whatever I need to add it because I want to do it. Not just for the satisfaction of crossing something off.
- No backing out. If I put something on one of my lists, at one point it obviously meant enough to me that I wanted to complete the goal! This way I can’t chicken out, and you’d be surprised how this positive listing mentality can make things happen.
- The lists. I will always have my Bucket List- -the original. It will be forever changing and I can work on it at any time. This is the most magical list, since the opportunities for these goals tend to present themselves to me, without much planning on my part. But I add lots of lists with shorter deadlines to spice up the meantime.
This year I’ve decided to live more in the moment than by the book, or books of lists I suppose. So instead I’ll be posting updates and lists of things that I’ve done, and some things I hope to do too. I’m heading off to study in Europe next semester, so between my shenanigans this summer and my adventures come fall, I’ll be trying to keep this updated a lot more!
As you’ll see– between the listing, my wacky outlook on life, my college experience, a little magic from time to time, and the random thoughts that pass through my mind– I think you’ll be entertained, if you stay tuned in that is…
All my love,
